Foodborne illness attribution

Attributing cases of foodborne illness to specific food sources is a surprisingly tricky subject.  I wrote an article for Meatingplace In Print magazine about the federal government’s efforts to do that.

Avian Influenza

The poultry industry had a scare with Avian Influenza (“bird flu”) in 2005-2006.  To address any continuing concerns on the subject, I wrote this piece which is still available on the National Chicken Council website.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention identified bread as one of the leading source of sodium in the American diet.  I wrote a posting about this for the “foodie blog” of the American Farm Bureau Federation.
